I do a lot of travelling by car and one app I’ve been using a ton is the TV Everywhere app from DISH Network. As a DISH employee/customer I’ve been using it since it came out, but even more so when I travel. Basically, it allows me to bring my TV with me anywhere I can get a 3G connection. I can watch live TV on my phone, tablet or laptop as it’s broadcast to my receiver…something U-Verse doesn’t allow. I can also watch all my recorded programs off my DVR, and when you’re riding shotgun, have the kids in the back, or just want to relax in the hotel at the end of the day, this is perfect.
