Apple iPad Sales Top 1 Million, iPad 3G 300K
Apple has sold more than 1 million iPads, less than a month after the device’s release, the company said today. It’s estimated that 300,000 of those sales came from the iPad 3G, which debuted this weekend.
3G owners, though, may be finding that web video isn’t quite as nice as on the WiFi-only model, as iLounge reports.
Still, as Apple points out in its PR, the iPad reaches the 1 million sales mark in less than half the time it took the iPhone to hit the same milestone. That’s some pretty successful work by Apple, though it will be interesting to see if the device can maintain momentum – and especially to see if people can find a clear use for the iPad.
