Apps: Dropbox 2.3, Amazon Instant Video 1.4.3 + Netflix “Max” for iPad

The popular Dropbox application lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Access any file you save to your Dropbox from all your computers, iPhone, iPad and even the Dropbox website. Now in the new release version 2.3, you will find it easier to share a link to a folder, and can use swipe gestures on files to share, move, delete, or favorite them. You can also select and share multiple photos with your family and friends.

Amazon Mobile’s Amazon Instant Video (free) has updated to version 1.4.3, which makes finding videos faster and easier using a dropdown menu on the home screen or a navigation bar on the browse screens. More personalized carousels have also been added to the home screen. However, the app still notably lacks AirPlay support.

Netflix this morning announced its new virtual assistant like the iPhone’s Siri, with the debut of “Max,” an on-screen guide for the Netflix app that customers can expect to see on the iPad… eventually. Currently limited to the Sony PlayStation 3, Max takes a rather goofy approach to suggesting movies or TV shows to watch. If all goes well and Max actually works, Netflix says they’ll expand the service to more users in the coming weeks and expand to the iPad next. We’ll see how this goes.
