Apple hasn’t done much with iTunes Movie Trailers since it released it in late 2011. The app, much like Flickster, offers up movie previews, reviews, showtimes, and other useful information regarding feature films. Recently, however, just in time for the summer blockbuster season, the iTunes Movie Trailers app for iOS devices has been updated with video quality selection and Fandango ticket purchasing.

There’s another way television is moving online. For television viewers, the holy grail is the ability to watch live programming from the comfort of their mobile devices. ABC appears to be the first to actually make it happen, but as usual, there’s a catch.  ABC has recently relaunched its ABC Player app as Watch ABC, which now streams live programming on iPad in limited markets. YouTube made a big announcement on Thursday: add paid subscriptions for certain channels. It had been rumored for some time that YouTube was readying some sort of paid model and today that becomes reality.
