Enjoy the 2013 Summer Blockbuster Movie Season with Apps

This 2013 summer’s blockbuster movie season got off to an early and massively profitable start. With the rising temperatures comes surging excitement for all of the blockbuster films movie goers have been looking forward to all year long.

Here’s a brief list of big-budget genre movies that have been released in the last three months: Oblivion, Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness, After Earth, Man of Steel, World War Z, The Lone Ranger and Pacific Rim. That’s ignoring non-genre or quasi-genre fare that has been equally hyped – The Great Gatsby, say, or Fast and Furious 6 — during that same period, or Monsters University and Despicable Me 2, the two big animated movies of the summer. Even so, it’s practically a rate of one massive genre movie every couple of weeks, dominating the conversation and skewing perceptions of everything around it.

Most 3 Anticipated Summer Blockbusters of 2013

Iron Man 3
Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Fast & Furious 6
Since Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian’s (Paul Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.Meanwhile, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Man of Steel
“Man of Steel” is coming to the big screen from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The film is from director Zack Snyder and produced by Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.
