Fun iPad Photo Apps

Tags:

Given its size, the iPad 2 is a good photo viewer. You may have quite a few photos and hopefully you are putting those on your iPad and showing them off and making great use of them. But did you know there are some really great iPad photo apps for editing and fun? I recently tried out some iPad photo app and offer you my thoughts on them.

Instagallery (Free)
It lets you view your Instagram feed, photos you have liked, photos by various tags, and popular photos. Instagram photos look big and bold on the iPad, and with Instagallery, you can set up slideshows.

Facebook Photo Album (Free)
The app turns your iPad into a Facebook photo album. It lets you flip through your or your Facebook friends’ photos, four photos at a time. It’s a great way to see Facebook from a different angle, particularly if you are waiting for the new Facebook Timeline to get rolled out to you.

Pixlr-o-matic (Free)
With this app you can doctor up your photos after the fact. The free and surprisingly ad-free app lets you take a photo or upload one from your photo library, then apply a filter, an effect, and a frame.

IncrediBooth ($0.99)
The app turns the iPad 2 into a photo booth. It spits out four-photo photo strips and provides four different filters to keep things interesting. It’s great for parties and should be required at all weddings, graduations, and birthdays.

Coffeetablet ($2.99)
It is a pretty nice iPad photo app that lets you create beautiful “coffee table” quality electronic books from your iPad media library. You select your photos (and videos) and arrange them in the order you wish them to appear in your new book.  Then you can customize your new “book” with a title and a them and in a few magical seconds your new iPad photo book is ready to view.

Conclusion
There are some great new iPad photo apps definitely worth checking out.  They are all pretty unique and show off just what you can do with a simple app and a photo.  Use these tools for editing, touch ups, or to change your photos into something completely new if you are into digital art or just want to have a little creative “fun”.
