How to Put Movies Onto an iPad Mini From a Mac?

If you’ve ever had to wait at a doctor’s office, DMV or an airplane terminal, you know how incredibly boring it can become. If you own an iPad Mini, you no longer have to suffer through these boring wait times. Apple makes it simple to add movies from your Mac to your iPad Mini via iTunes so that you will be able to watch your movies no matter where you are.

Step 1
Make sure the video file is compatible with the iPad Mini. There are iPad Mini compatible movie formats of M4V, MP4 and MOV.

Step 2
Connect your iPad Mini to the Mac and open iTunes.

Step 3
Select “Add to Library” from the “File” menu in iTunes.

Step 4
Navigate to the desired movie and click “Open.” The movie will be added to the Movies library in iTunes.

Step 5
Click your iPad Mini under “Devices.”

Step 6
Click the “Movies” tab within your iPad Mini syncing options.

Step 7
Click to check the box next to “Sync Movies.”

Step 8
Check the box of each movie in the “Movies” section that you want to add to your iPad Mini.

Step 9
Click “Apply” to begin syncing your iPad Mini with iTunes.

Tips
If the movie you want to import is not in the correct file format, first make sure that you are allowed to add the movie to your iPad per copyright compliance. Then use a DVD to iPad converter for Mac, or iPad video file converter for Mac to convert the file to an acceptable format.
