How to Watch Blu-ray Movies on iPad (for Mac users)
The holidays are fast approaching so you need to buckle down and decide to rip a couple of Blu-ray movies onto your iPad for the holiday vacation. However,to watch Blu-ray movies on iPad, you need to rip Blu-ray disc to iPad compatible video file and then transfer the output video to iPad with the sync of iTunes. The following tutorial is going to show you how to rip Blu-ray movie to iPad compatible video files on Mac OS X (including Snow Leopard), helping you enjoy Blu-ray movies on the go.
Step 1. Click “BD/DVD Folder” or “IFO File” to load your Blu-ray or DVD files
Once files are loaded, you can click “ViewMode” to decide either ripping by chapters or ripping by m2ts files.
Step 2. Select an iPad compatible format as output format
Click the pull down menu at the opposite side of “Format”, and then tap “iPad” profile. There are three formats specially optimized for iPad. You can select the one you prefer.
Step 3. Adjust audio and video parameters
Click on “Settings” button, and you are allowed to adjust video and audio parameters including codec, size, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, and audio channels on the popup window as below.
Note: If you just want to rip a segment of the Blu-ray movie to iPad, you can use the “Trim” function of this Mac Blu-ray Ripper. Click the “Editor” on the interface and go to the “Trim” tab. To trim the movie, simply type in desired time value in “Start” and “End” boxes and click “Set” button. Or you can click left square bracket and right square bracket to set start and end time when previewing the movie.
Step 4. Start to rip Blu-ray movies to iPad
