iPad and iPhone in Apple 2013 Back to School Promotion

It may only be the beginning of July, with students and teachers just settling into summer-mode, but Apple has announced its Back To School Promotional Event. Well, forget making plans to go to the beach, local water park or other summer-type activities – we know you’re really thinking about school right about now, which is why Apple has launched its Back to School promotion to help you get into the going-back-to-school spirit.

Students will love the new back to school iPad deals for 2013 and of course the iPhone deals, once an iPhone or iPad has been purchased the consumer will receive a $50 gift card that buyers can use for iTunes Store content.

Apple expands Back to School promotion to include iPad purchases since 2012. It’s clear that Apple sees the iPad as an increasingly attractive educational tool. Earlier in 2011, the company launched educational initiatives centering around its iOS devices, with particular attention paid to the iPad. This year’s Back to School promotion seems like part of Apple’s push to get more of its tablets into the hands of students—and to make sure those iPads are loaded up with apps once class is back in session.

To qualify for the promotion, people must buy a Mac or an iPad for school between now and September 6th,2013. Customers buying an iPad or iPhone will receive a $50 gift card, while those buying a Mac get the standard $100 card. Eligible people include active college students, students accepted to a college, parents buying for college students, and faculty and staff of any grade level.

You can take a look at the full back to school participants here by state.  Apple is also offering special financing for up to 18 months on qualifying purchases such as iPads or iPhones and Mac, read more about financing here.
