“Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows” Blu-ray Movies on iPad
It’s becoming the norm to use iPad tablet for video entertainment. Now Warner Bros. is inviting viewers at home to use their tablets while watching the DVD for the latest Sherlock Holmes movie, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
WB ‘Game of Shadows’ indeed is a very shadowy video presentation that features great detail even though much of the movie is spent lurking in dark places. Warner has offered a 1080p AVC-encoded transfer that looks, well, perfect.
The Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows movie comes in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. It also comes with an UltraViolet Digital Copy. The Blu-ray/DVD pack hits stores on June 12,2012.
WB created a new Movie App for this release that is both free and available right now for the iPad as well as the Kindle Fire. The app, which is downloadable for free on iTunes. You can sync the app with your Blu-ray movie or your Digital Download (only in the United States) to explore the world of Sherlock Holmes through your iPad. The movie app is divided into five categories: Motive: Genesis of the Story, Events: Scene Breakdown & Script Exploration, Persons of Interest (with character and actor spotlights), Scene of the Crime (a history of 1890s Europe) and Surveillance Tracking.
That last one is fun for anyone wanting to know more about the places Holmes and Watson’s adventure took them to in the movie. On the tablet, you can check out a map that shows where the University of Paris is in relation to other locations in the story, read about the history of the school and cue up a scene with Professor Moriarty that takes place there on the DVD.
While you may watch the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows with their movie app, you can also watch the Maximum Movie Mode, a Blu-ray Disc exclusive to iPad. With the help of 3rd-party Blu-ray to iPad ripping software, you can format the Blu-ray disc content to iPad compatible.
There we have it, Dear Readers, Maximum Movie Mode and the Game of Shadows Movie App of Sherlock Holmes Blu-ray movies on iPad.
