Watching DVDs on Your TouchPad – How It’s Done
The HP TouchPad has set to be an alternative tablet for what we demand out of a handheld device. It does everything but cook you breakfast, make your bed, and watch DVDs – until now. Watch DVDs, that is. You can now watch DVD on your TouchPad and if this is something that interests you, then you are encouraged to keep reading.

Watch DVD on TouchPad – Step One
Obviously the first thing we are going to need is a converter because you can’t put the DVD in the TouchPad – it just won’t work. A DVD to TouchPad converter is not difficult to find and will only require the use of a search inquiry to get a long list of appropriate programs. It would be wise to download an installer that will convert DVD to any video format such as MPEG, AVI, MOV, MP4 etc. There are endless converters available and many of them offer a free trial. Check out Wondershare DVD Ripper (for Windows) or Imtoo DVD Ripper for Mac , they are all the best choices.

Now that you have the converter installed on your computer select a DVD to convert into TouchPad format. HP TouchPad tablet supports only MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, choose one as output profile. There is also software available which will allow you to import specific portions of DVD files to your TouchPad.

Now that we have the converter installed and have converted the DVD files, it’s time for the easy part. Connect your TouchPad to your computer and transfer the files with the help of USB cable. It works the same way you would transfer all your other media.
Now that you see how easy that is, you are ready to start watching full blown movies on the incredible HD TouchPad.

It’s a real shame about the USB port and SD card slot being canned. It would be pretty cool to have a way to expand the memory and quick swapping information on the iPad.
